Life is a River

Like a river, life is full of rapids, falls, currents, etc.  While none of these are easy to navigate, all are a part of life.  When we take a quick look at the hard times we face without truly viewing them, we will never learn what’s needed in our lives.  Taking the time to view both the the good and bad that we have been through with an open mind will help you to see what you have learned and what you still have to learn.  Experiences we go through, whether good or bad, will shape the people we become and may even help us grow and learn if we allow them to.  Take the time to learn from whatever it is you are going through right now in this moment.  Don’t be afraid to face the hard truths, or you will never truly learn from them.

I recently traveled to Tennessee and was able to explore the Middle Prong River and thought I would share some of my photos with a few quotes that pair nicely with them.

Enjoy!!!

“Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.” — Emma Smith

“We must begin thinking like a river if we are to leave a legacy of beauty and life for future generations.” — David Brower

“Some people want to know where the river begins. Others want to know where it ends. However, I want to know how to navigate it so that I can be part of both without ever having to see either.” — Craig D. Lounsbrough
