A Trip To Hilton Head Island, SC

This is a view from Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort.

I recently returned from Hilton Head Island, SC. My trip was filled with many exciting and fun things my family and I got to do.

At the Disney Resort We were able to rent bicycles and ride around town, taking in the views as we went. Riding bicycles is a great way to have something fun to do in the heat of the summer other than the beach. You get nature’s natural AC while enjoying the views that surround you and strengthening leg muscles and at the same time.

Harbour Town is a must see if you ever decide to visit Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. There is one restaurant in particular that my family and I got to enjoy for the first time. Quaterdeck is a great place to eat great food while having an amazing view of the harbor. The hospitality was amazing and the food was delicious. Due to my allergies of peppers, they had to take my salad back and remake it because the menu hadn’t listed one of the ingredients being pre-seasoned. But they did this with smiles on their faces. I am sure my family and I will be returning in the future!

Also, if you are looking for some fun, check out Pirate's Island Adventure Golf of Hilton Head SC. The course is fun for the whole family with an exciting pirate them to go along with it.

Travel on!!

Traveling Utah

I recently returned from my travels to Utah. On the trip, I explored canyons, rivers, and Mountaintops. The beauty that I beheld was something that photos cannot truly capture, but I did my best to capture some views that I could shared with you.

I hope you enjoy!

This photo was taken while driving through Utah. I do not know the exact location, but I knew it was a worthy spot and needed to be captured.

This photo was taken from a trail that took me down into Bryce Canyon and snaked its way through the National Park’s beautiful walls that are truly a sight to behold. The many colors on the walls and the greenery that thrives in the canyon, together, both add to the vibrance of Bryce Canyon’s splendor.

This photo is a view of the Hoodoos that call Bryce Canyon National Park their home (Hoodoo is a tall, thin spire of soft rock often topped with harder rock). It’s amazing to see that these rock formations stand high even though they do not seem to be the most sturdy looking.

The Toadstools is a great sunset spot located in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and is an easy 1.5 mile round trip. The unique shape and beautiful red and white colored rock of the Toadstools make it seem as though you are not on earth anymore.

I had the pleasure of getting a tour of the Lower Antelope Canyon on my trip to Utah. The tour guide showed all the best angles and photo spots and shared stories from his Navajo heritage. It was a great experience and I plan on returning.

The Virgin River is beautiful and flows through Zion National Park and is a tributary of the Colorado River. The river is around 162 miles in length and was appointed as Utah’s very first wild and scenic river in 2009. Watching a river flow through a place where the word “desert” isn’t far off, is truly an inspiring sight.

I Hope that you enjoyed reading about my travels to Utah!!

Now it’s your turn to explore somewhere!!

Life is a River

Like a river, life is full of rapids, falls, currents, etc.  While none of these are easy to navigate, all are a part of life.  When we take a quick look at the hard times we face without truly viewing them, we will never learn what’s needed in our lives.  Taking the time to view both the the good and bad that we have been through with an open mind will help you to see what you have learned and what you still have to learn.  Experiences we go through, whether good or bad, will shape the people we become and may even help us grow and learn if we allow them to.  Take the time to learn from whatever it is you are going through right now in this moment.  Don’t be afraid to face the hard truths, or you will never truly learn from them.

I recently traveled to Tennessee and was able to explore the Middle Prong River and thought I would share some of my photos with a few quotes that pair nicely with them.

Enjoy!!!

“Life is like the river, sometimes it sweeps you gently along and sometimes the rapids come out of nowhere.” — Emma Smith

“We must begin thinking like a river if we are to leave a legacy of beauty and life for future generations.” — David Brower

“Some people want to know where the river begins. Others want to know where it ends. However, I want to know how to navigate it so that I can be part of both without ever having to see either.” — Craig D. Lounsbrough

A Wizarding World

"Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." —Albus Dumbledore

I always enjoy traveling to Universal Orlando with my family. All the sights and different experiences are worth the trip. I mostly enjoy the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so I decided to provide a few highlights that always get my attention.

Enjoy!

Looking up to see the Hogwarts castle standing proud. The detail and attention to the castle is spectacular. “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” ride is hidden beneath the castle. The ride will send you soaring through and around Hogwarts castle where you will see many familiar faces. As you walk through the castle to board the ride, you will discover many different finds that will teleport you back to the familiarity of the books and films created by J. K. Rowling.

The Hogwarts Express arriving in Hogsmeade station. The Hogwarts Express is a way of transportation between the two Universal parks. It is an experience with stunning scenery that will leave you in awe as you travel between Hogsmeade and London.

Diagon Alley is a hidden gem bustling with witches, wizards and even muggles shopping and/or searching for a bite to eat in the Leaky Cauldron. At the heart of Diagon Alley sits Gringotts Bank, which is also the entrance to the “Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts” roller coaster. The ride will send you through the vaults and caves found underneath Gringotts Bank, where you will encounter familiar heroes and fearsome enemies.

And of course, a trip Hogwarts wouldn’t be the same without being sure to visit everyone’s favorite half-giant and half-human friend Hagrid. “Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” is one of the very best roller coasters I have had the pleasure of experiencing. The ride will send you zooming on your motorbike through the forbidden forest where many magical creatures will be found lurking.

I hope you have enjoyed my highlights on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando!!

Thank you!!
