Enjoy the Little Things in Life
Don’t miss out on the life you are given! So often, issues within our work, school, and family cause us to become so focused on our problems that we miss out on the things happening around us while also elevating our levels of stress and anxiety. Taking time to just breath will help lower anxiety and stress. Your thinking will also play a role in your levels of stress, anxiety, worry, etc. Are you thinking positively or negatively? We often think of what will happen if we don’t complete a task on time, causing our stress and anxiety to launch itself higher. Next time you have an assignment or job to do, instead of thinking what will happen if you “fail,” think of what will happen when you “succeed.” The result of simply thinking positively will shock you. I have always wanted to know what is next in my life, and am still learning to be content with where I am rather than looking to where I will be. As I let go of worry, I find peace that surpasses all understanding, and I encourage you to do the same.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7, NASB).
Now, go and learn how to appreciate even the smallest things in life!!
